WanderDaily is operated by Vertex Digital. Vertex Digital is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice — meaning we decide how and why your data is processed.

• Account data — your email address, display name, and login credentials. Used to create and secure your account (legal basis: performance of our contract with you).
• Preferences and usage — your chosen interests, the cities you look up, your fact collection, streak, and test-drive status. Used to provide and personalize the service (legal basis: contract performance and our legitimate interest in improving the product).
• Location — only if you tap "use my location", your browser shares approximate coordinates, which we use once to identify your city. We do not store precise GPS history (legal basis: your consent, given by using the feature).
• Technical data — IP address, device and browser identifiers, and usage telemetry. Used for security, fraud prevention, and product improvement (legal basis: legitimate interests).
• Support messages — if you contact us, we keep the conversation to help you (legal basis: legitimate interests).

Payment details are collected and processed directly by Paddle (our Merchant of Record) — we never see or store your card number.

• Service providers that host and operate WanderDaily (cloud hosting, database, authentication, and AI providers that generate your daily content).
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of the lifetime unlock, payment processing, tax compliance, and invoicing.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
• Authorities where required by law.

We keep your data while your account is active. When data is no longer needed — for example after you delete your account — we delete or anonymize it, except where the law requires us to keep it longer (such as transaction records for tax purposes).

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the support contact in the app. If you are in the UK or EEA, we respond within one month and you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level data isolation — to protect your personal data.

WanderDaily uses essential cookies and local storage only — to keep you signed in and remember your session. We do not use advertising or third-party marketing cookies. You can clear these in your browser settings, but the app will not stay signed in without them.
